She has spent more than twenty two years working closely with small business owners and successful individuals helping them achieve their investment objectives and goals, and perhaps even more importantly, assisting them in addressing the numerous wealth preservation issues successful individuals and small businesses must consider in order to help protect and preserve their assets throughout their lifetime and for legacy continuation.

A frequent lecturer and instructor, Ellie has taught financial and retirement planning classes to thousands of individuals and small business owners and has been frequently quoted in the Wall Street Journal.
Her decision to specialize in working with doctors was influenced by her personal experiences as an impressionable child when her mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. This was a life changing event that brought Ellie front and center with many medical professionals, especially the doctors who showed great compassion for both her mother and to Ellie directly helping them cope with this disease. These dedicated doctors left a lasting impression and Ellie learned first hand how important the doctors life work is. She is committed to giving back by helping doctors become better doctors by being financially fit.
Ellie is married to Rick Thie and shares Rick’s passion in working to help fund research for Pancreatic Cancer through the Jane H. Thie Memorial Fund,Inc. a 501©(3) foundation Rick founded in memory of his mother, Jane, who lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Ellie and Rick enjoy boating in their classic mahogany 1953 Chris Craft Sportsman. They both love to acquire, read and cook from their extensive collection of cookbooks.
A natural caretaker, Rick is committed to the financial wellness of physicians and dentists who have dedicated their professional lives to the science and art of healing.
As Chief Value Officer of Lifetime Investment Management, Rick created a process for guiding individuals to their financial goals and objectives utilizing a values-based protocol. As he interviewed physicians and dentists he saw the opportunity to bring financial order to their already hectic and time constrained lives. His motto is, “A financially fit doctor is a better doctor being free of fiscal worry and doing what they do best – healing people”.
Rick’s decision to focus on working with doctors culminated from his personal experience when cancer struck in his immediate family. In June 2006 his mother, Jane, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She lost her battle in January of 2007. This was a defining moment in both Rick’s personal and professional life. Two years later he founded and currently serves as president of the Jane H. Thie Memorial Fund, Inc. a non-profit 501©(3) organization dedicated to raising funds for medical research critical to the eradication of pancreatic cancer.
Rick says.” I like to think that I relate well with this group of dedicated professionals as they display the same level of intensity in maintaining sound physical wellness in the lives of their patients as we do in bringing sound fiscal wellness to the lives of our doctor clientele.
